This one-week seminar Production/Operations Management is designed to provide understanding and practical application of skills and practices that are often lacking among today’s managers, and this is done within the context of a bakery manufacturing environment.
At the end of the week, the course participants will be able to:
- Interpret financial statements and understand the impact of investments (ROI) in equipment, quality assurance/R&D, training, and safety
- Explain the important roles of both sales and production in keeping the company in a healthy financial condition and achieving targeted profits
- Practice specific strategies to improve both verbal and nonverbal communications
- Demonstrate an understanding of how to apply proven cost reduction strategies and tools
- Develop knowledge of how to set standards and measure performance, getting the work done through others
- View and discuss the different styles of leadership and how they are applied
- Properly challenge and support employees in order to get more accomplished without "burning out" on the job.
