Barry Callebaut named Parveen Werner as director of marketing for the Americas region. Werner comes to Barry Callebaut with more than 20 years of experience, of which 12 were spent in marketing roles for companies in the food industry.
She most recently served as a marketing consultant for Synergy Flavors, Inc., a global flavor manufacturer. In addition, she has held marketing and business development positions with HJ Heinz’s business unit Appetizers And, Inc., in Chicago, and with Bestfoods FoodService, where she managed the Knorr and Legout brands.
In her new role, Werner will be responsible for marketing Barry Callebaut’s line of chocolate products to gourmet customers and food manufacturers in the Americas region, including the United States, Canada and Mexico. Werner will be based in Chicago at Barry Callebaut’s North American head office.
She has a Masters from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University, and a B.S. from the University of Illinois in Chicago. She also holds a C.P.A.
