The USA Dry Pea & Lentil Council (USA Pulses) and Pulse Canada have launched a new website, which is packed with easy, healthy recipes as well as cooking tips, product examples and more, all of which feature nutritious pulses.

The new site can be found here, and officially launched on June 21. It offers the following:

  • Hundreds of recipe ideas, nutrition information and ingredient swap ideas/pointers
  • Easy ways and tips to incorporate these ingredients into a weekly meal plan
  • Health benefits: Why pulses are a good source of plant-based protein, excellent source of fiber, low in fat and sodium, cholesterol-free, affordable, sustainable and versatile
  • Information about where to find pulses in mainstream and natural grocery stores

USA Pulses also launched a Half-Cup Habit challenge, which is a free and easy commitment to eat at least three half-cup servings of pulses each week (based on USDA guidelines to eat one and a half cups of pulses weekly for optimal health). Research has shown that just adding pulses to your diet can help with everything from weight management to the prevention of chronic diseases like diabetes.
