Clextral Inc. will hold a Short Course on Extrusion, “Transform your raw materials into value-added extruded products,” on October 28-29, in Tampa, Fla.

This course is focused on twin-screw extrusion technology for food applications and gives bakers and snack producers the chance to learn, discuss and network while learning about the technology and science of food extrusion.

Attendees also can discover how this technology can help them produce value-added products that can improve profitability and expand markets.

The two-day seminar consists of morning classroom sessions, followed by hands-on demonstrations in Clextral’s pilot plant each afternoon, according to the Tampa, Fla.-based company. Starting with the basics of extrusion, the attendees learn how to control process parameters, optimize processes and maximize end-product characteristics, as well as drying techniques. A wide range of extruded products are presented and discussed. Past short courses have hosted more than 100 attendees from North and Latin America.
