ADM has Been Awarded the Frost and Sullivan Product Leadership Award in the Field of Edible Oils and Fats for its Development of the Novalipid line of Zero/low Trans fat Oils. This Award is Bestowed on the Company That has Best Demonstrated a Superior Ability to Develop And/or Advance Innovative Products.
After reviewing its strong 2004 performance, MGP Ingredients, Inc. outlined plans to strengthen its position in the specialty food ingredients market. Plans include evolving product line focus, strengthening the core franchise and improving financial discipline. MGPI’s stockholders elected John Speirs and John Byom to the company’s board of directors, re-elected Cloud L. “Bud” Cray to the board, voted to increase the number of authorized common shares from 20 million to 40 million shares and approved a new stock incentive plan.
Sonoco’s customer dedicated Pack Center in Devens, Mass., has been awarded STAR Voluntary Protection Programs (VPP) Worksite status by the Occupational Safety & Health Administration (OSHA). STAR designation in the performance-based VPP recognizes employers and employees who work with OSHA to achieve employee injury/illness rates below their industry average through exemplary occupational safety and health programs. The Devens Pack Center is one of 1,000 U.S. worksites to have achieved VPP status.
