MGP Ingredients, Atchison, Kan., has made three new hires. Adam Bremer has joined the company as an applications technologist. His primary responsibilities will focus on the company’s textured protein technology platform. Bremer graduated with a bachelor’s degree in food science from Kansas State University in December 2007.
In addition, Joe Wetter has joined MGPI as a process engineer. His role will include supporting the alcohol production teams as a technical resource at the company’s Atchison and Pekin, Ill. facilities.
Lastly, Curtis Kipple has assumed the new position of automation and controls engineer. His duties will entail serving as a technical resource for MGPI’s Atchison facility automation and instrumentation systems. He will work to improve preventive and predictive maintenance practices for automation and instrumentation, as well to identify continuous improvement opportunities for the systems.
Robert Hobson has been named general manager of Archer Daniel Midland Co.’s North American Packaged Oils group. Hobson joined ADM in 1973 and has held various international finance and commercial positions. In 2000, he was named manager of mergers & acquisitions; in 2002, he became manager of ADM Cocoa International; and in 2004, he was appointed managing director of Pura Foods. Hobson will work out of ADM’s corporate headquarters in Decatur, Ill.
