Emmy’s Organics is pleased to announce that it has partnered with Whole Planet Foundation (WPF) to help alleviate global poverty. Established by Whole Foods Market, Whole Planet Foundation is a nonprofit whose mission is to alleviate poverty by funding microcredit in communities around the world.

“Giving back and supporting entrepreneurs all over the world is extremely meaningful to us,” said Samantha Abrams, co-founder & co-owner of Emmy’s Organics. “Thanks in part to Whole Foods Market’s Local Producer Loan Program, we’ve seen the positive impact of what growing a business inside a community can do. We’re so grateful to be able to come full circle and help empower other entrepreneurs, their families and their communities.

Emmy’s Organics will donate $10,000 to the Whole Planet Foundation Ten Thousand Dollar Fund, which provides expansion funds for new microlending programs in local and global communities. These microloans can be used to start or expand a home-based business, enabling entrepreneurs the chance to change their lives and lift themselves out of poverty.

“Emmy’s Organics’ longstanding commitment to giving back and entrepreneurial spirit is commendable,” said Joy Stoddard, executive development and outreach director for Whole Planet Foundation. “We are thrilled to welcome Emmy’s Organics as a partner and can’t thank them enough for their support.”
