Equipment Snapshot: Doran Scales says its new Selecta in-motion checkweigher provides high-speed checkweighing and valuable production floor data at an affordable cost. The system can weigh products at throughput speeds of up to 240 pieces per minute, while Synapse software provides operators with an immediate understanding of production line efficiency and profitability. All production data and PLU parameters are stored in a database for archiving and quick, accurate retrieval. Built to meet stringent European guidelines, the checkweigher features a 10.4-inch color touchscreen interface; an open, stainless steel frame with a washdown protection rating of IP-54; and easy-to-remove, food-grade conveyor belts powered by brushless motors. The Selecta is available in maximum capacities of 2.6 pounds (1.2 kilograms) and 6.6 pounds (3 kilograms) with resolutions of 0.2 grams and 0.5 grams, respectively.
