Bimbo Bakeries USA, the largest baking company in the United States, has partnered with the Please Touch Museum on two new exhibits for its interactive gallery, “Healthy Me, Healthy Family, Healthy Community.” These exhibits are part of the Please Touch Museum’s larger initiative to help teach children about the importance of healthy living and financial literacy.

The Bimbo Bakeries USA Bistro is an imaginative “sandwich shop” where children can pretend to take orders and make lunches using realistic replicas of fresh ingredients. The new Boboli Pizza Kitchen comes complete with faux-wood fire oven and plastic pizzas. Through this partnership, the museum also made upgrades to its beloved “kid supermarket,” which is stocked with some of Bimbo Bakeries USA’s well-known brands, including Entenmann’s, Little Bites, Sara Lee and Thomas’ English Muffins and Bagels.

“The Please Touch Museum is such an iconic part of Philadelphia and supporting its mission with our iconic brands is a natural fit for Bimbo Bakeries USA,” said Jonathan Berger, vice president, human relations at Bimbo Bakeries USA. “We believe that when a child plays in the Please Touch Museum supermarket with a Sara Lee loaf of bread or an Entenmann’s cake, their learning experience will be enhanced because it will be more realistic and fun.”

The Please Touch Museum is a children’s museum in Philadelphia dedicated to helping children learn through the power of play. To learn more about the museum and this new exhibit, please visit: http://www.pleasetouchmuseum.org.
