Product Snapshot: Lehi Valley Trading Company, a U.S. privately-owned premier snack food company, is introducing a line of gourmet, made-to-order candied nuts including: Maple Bourbon Pecans, Vanilla Cranberry Cashews, Cocoa Roasted Almonds, Ginger Citrus Almonds and Cocoa Coconut Almonds. With the increasingly popular snack nuts segment growing to $4.8 billion in 2018 (according to IRI), the company sees this lineup as an opportunity to expand an in-demand category featuring unique and bold—yet simple—flavor combinations with an indulgent twist.

“We began experimenting with different nuts, textures and flavors like cocoa, coconut, cranberry and citrus and we quickly realized we could take this to a whole new gourmet experience,” said Christie Frazier-Coleman, vice president of marketing for Lehi Valley Trading Company. “This was truly a collaborative process between the Freeman family (company owners), our Product Innovation team and our Manufacturing team. A lot of creative people came together to use Lehi Valley’s in-house capabilities and help produce some unexpected combinations for consumers looking to indulge in a unique snack with an upscale taste.”

The lineup includes:

  • Maple Bourbon Pecans. Ingredients: Pecans, Sugar, Butter, Natural Flavors (Vanilla, Bourbon, Maple). These crunchy and fresh pecans are dipped in a sweet and buttery maple bourbon sauce with a hint of vanilla. The taste of bourbon becomes the highlight of this ultimate flavor making it a fine treat for any time of day.
  • Vanilla Cranberry Cashews. Ingredients: Cashews, Sugar, Cranberry Seeds, Butter, Natural Vanilla Flavor. Rich natural vanilla and cranberry seeds are layered onto fresh and crunchy cashews. The perfect berry-nut flavor ratio makes for a wonderfully addictive snack.
  • Cocoa Roasted Almonds. Ingredients: Almonds, Sugar, Cocoa Powder, Butter, Natural Vanilla Flavor. Fresh almonds are rolled on a sweet cocoa coating with a hint of vanilla and butter flavor. The homemade taste of chocolate makes it an irresistible sweet treat.
  • Ginger Citrus Almonds. Ingredients: Almonds, Sugar, Ginger, Butter, Ground, Ginger, Lime Powder, Natural Orange Extract. Our fresh and crisp almonds are smoothly glazed with cool citrus flavors and a hint of ginger. Sweet ginger pieces are served with a hint of lime bringing you a very satisfying zing flavor. One isn’t enough!
  • Cocoa Coconut Almonds. Ingredients: Almonds, Sugar, Coconut (unsweetened shredded), Cocoa Powder, Butter, Natural Vanilla Flavor The rich flavor of almonds draped with sweet chocolate and coconut coating will take your taste buds through a twirl of textures and sweet flavors.
