Product Snapshot: For this back-to-school season, Rice Krispies Treats are offering an impactful initiative.

Last year, Rice Krispies Treats created accessible Love Notes for children who are blind or low-vision including Braille stickers and re-recordable audio boxes, so that more children could feel loved and supported going back to school. Rice Krispies Treats recognizes that as kids head back to school, each one deserves love and support to help them be their best. A simple handwritten note from home can mean the most. But all children give and receive love a little differently. What if your child can’t see the words ‘I love you’? Or has a hard time recognizing feelings?

With 1 in 59 children in the United States diagnosed with autism, Rice Krispies Treats is continuing their commitment to inclusivity by partnering with Autism Speaks to develop sensory Love Notes so that children with autism can experience love in their own way during the back-to-school transition.

The sensory Love Notes come in a pack with four heart-shaped stickers featuring a variety of textures – including silk, fleece, faux fur, satin and velour – that may provide comfort to children with autism, many of who respond positively to tactile experiences.

Its latest commitment was inspired by children like S.J. Monville, a kindergarten student with autism. S.J. is relocating from a special needs school to a public school this year—a big transition for him during a season already filled with change.

Starting today, people can visit ricekrispies.com/lovenotes to order the free sensory Love Notes, as well as the Braille Love Notes, while supplies last. Join Rice Krispies Treats in sharing love and support this back-to-school season with the hashtag #SoMuchToLove on social media.
