Expected to be completed by March 31, ConAgra Foods’ acquisition of Ralcorp Holdings will create one of the largest packaged food companies in North America, with annual sales of approximately $18 billion.
ConAgra acquires the private-label pita chips business of Kangaroo Brands. ConAgra says that pita chips are a growing category and a natural fit with its private-label snacks business. The purchase includes a manufacturing facility in Milwaukee.
