Named as USA Today’s top ten festivals, the National Cherry Festival in the Grand Traverse region is almost here.  On behalf of the Cherry Marketing Institute, we’d like to wish you a healthy and bountiful harvest! Check out coverage of this year’s festival in the Indianapolis Star.

 

To celebrate the season, take a look at CMI’s harvest story captured during last year’s media and blogger immersion, reveling in everything tart.

 

Leveraging a time when media and consumers are talking about and looking for tart cherries, we’re preparing our second taste activation (to launch in late July), honoring the unique sweet-sour flavor of our beloved tart cherry.

 

How we’ll activate

·         Highlight tart as an on-trend flavor through a syndicated video series with Serious Eats,* touting taste and usage ideas

·         Tell the story of the tart harvest by republishing harvest video, articles, images and recipes from past immersion attendees

·         Inspire usage with influential bloggers, who’ll document their development of trendy tart recipes, and socially share their content
