From 8 to 10 May 2014, Solingen-based item Industrietechnik GmbH is exhibiting its latest product developments at this brand new fair in Düsseldorf. Taking place in parallel with the leading trade fair interpack, this specialist fair for suppliers in the packaging industry offers a platform for showcasing industrial building kit systems based on aluminium profiles and innovations in the fields of work bench and lean production systems. Highlights at the fair will include work bench 4 E FIFO and a conveying solution for the low-cost automation sector.
The LP Building Kit System – a new solution for low-cost automation
The impressive features of the LP Building Kit System include its ease of use, a simple but flexible fastening system and extraordinary versatility. As a result, item is boosting freedom of movement and speed in production operations.
The company is exhibiting a crate conveying system that can be used for more than just basic, straight conveyor lines. The new solution can also wrap conveyor lines around 90° corners. What’s more, crates are tipped into a position that makes them much easier to remove from the line – whatever their weight or base structure, e.g. craggy surfaces on small load carriers with stacking or honeycombed bases.
Another highlight is the new Roller Conveyor 6 40x40. It is supplied ready for installation and is ideally suited for use on robust conveyor lines. Its rigid aluminium profile exhibits barely any deflection, even over long stretches. Side Guide Rails made from aluminium keep workpieces and crates safely on track and boost the rigidity of the roller conveyor by up to 50 percent. Another special feature is that users can now finally replace individual castors without the need for tools.

To keep work moving fast, this ergonomic work bench can be fitted with roller conveyors on several different levels. The work bench can be integrated with material picking and provisioning systems from the Work Bench System and elements from the Lean Production Building Kit System. By fitting the work bench with an electrical height-adjustment system that includes the integrated FIFO rack, item Industrietechnik GmbH is underlining the importance of ergonomics in industrial environments.
