Every year, dozens of baking industry professionals spend hundreds of hours writing and presenting technical papers at the American Society of Baking’s annual conference. Over its 83-year history, the society has developed a wealth of research about the baking industry that could fill a library at a major university.
The ASB Column is an effort to bring that knowledge to you on a regular basis. Each month, the society will work with Snack Food & Wholesale Baking’s editors to tap into the society’s vast network of experience and develop educational or thought-provoking articles on a wide range of topics.
In many ways, The ASB Column is your column. Our goal is to spark peer-to-peer discussion and ignite dialogue in the worldwide baking community about issues impacting individual professionals on a day-to-day basis or in the long haul. The hope is to generate questions, provide solutions and inspire collaboration to improve the baking industry as a whole.
