Twelve winners of the California Raisin Marketing Board’s 6th Annual America’s Best Raisin Bread Contest were announced Oct. 8 during a banquet at the LVH hotel in Las Vegas.

Five cookie enthusiasts took top honors at Pastry Chicago’s 5th Annual Amateur/Student Cookie Competition on Aug. 25.

The 2012 America’s Best Raisin Bread Contest, hosted by the California Raisin Marketing Board, named 36 finalists across the country. The total number of entries exceeded 2011 totals, at 104, and 31 of the 36 finalists are first-time qualifiers.

Applications are due July 31 for America's Best Raisin Bread Contest (ABRBC). Professional bakers are encouraged to register for the 5th Annual America’s Best Raisin Bread Contest, hosted by the California Raisin Marketing Board.
