Zapp’s introduces Bayou Blackened Ranch Kettle Chips
The snack pays tribute to the brand’s New Orleans roots with the new flavor.

Zapp’s, the Utz-owned chip and pretzel brand with flavors inspired by New Orleans, has introduced the launch of Bayou Blackened Ranch Flavored Kettle Chips. According to the company, its latest snack blends a number of flavors, like Cajun-style blackened seasoning and zesty ranch, for a taste intended to capture the spirit of Louisiana.
According to Zapp’s, Bayou Blackened Ranch Kettle Chips are thick-cut potatoes, kettle-cooked to deliver the bold flavor and crunch associated with the brand. Other NOLA-inspired flavors in the line of potato chips include Voodoo, Spicy Cajun Crawtators, Big Cheezy, Salt & Vinegar, Cajun Dill Gator-tators, and Mesquite Bar-B-Que.
“Zapp’s new take on ranch flavoring provides a refreshing yet delightful flavor when paired with the Blackened Bayou seasoning,” states Stacey Schultz, SVP of marketing at Utz Quality Foods, a subsidiary of Utz Brands. “With our new Bayou Blackened Ranch chips, we took a classic recipe and turned it up a notch to introduce a snacking experience that’s unmistakably Zapp’s and bursting with New Orleans flavor.”
Zapp’s Bayou Blackened Ranch Kettle Chips are available in 1.5-, 2.5-, and 8-oz packages; they will be sold at major mass, grocery, and convenience retailers across the U.S., and on UtzSnacks.com.
