Grain Processing Corp. (GPC) of Muscatine, Iowa, and ENRECO, Inc., based in Newton, Wis., have formed a strategic alliance in which GPC becomes the exclusive U.S. marketer of ENRECO’s Sterling Choice brand of flaxseed ingredients.
“This collaboration will make it easier for our customers to access all of the diverse health benefits of flaxseed, especially its high omega-3 fatty acid content,” said Brian Tompoles, vice president of GPC.
Demand for flaxseed has grown in tandem with burgeoning consumer demands for Omega-3s, prebiotic dietary fibers, antioxidants, low glycemic and gluten-free foods.
“This is a good move for us and for our customers,” added Sean Moriarty, president for ENRECO. “ENRECO’s collaboration with GPC significantly expands our market presence while leveraging GPC’s first-rate customer service and technical applications capabilities.”
