AIB board names David Murphy chairman

June 15, 2012

David Murphy, president of Mother Murphy’s Laboratories Inc., is elected chairman of the AIB board of trustees at its annual spring meeting April 14, 2012, in Scottsdale, Ariz.

Murphy has been active in a number of trade organizations, including serving as president of the Cookie and Snack Bakers Association, National Allied Trades Association and Texas Allied Trades Association, as well as currently serving as a director on the Bakers National Education Foundation and as a member of the Food Marketing Education Council.

AIB also elects Donald Thriffiley Jr., Flowers Foods Inc., vice chairman. Daniel Babin, Bimbo Bakeries USA, is the past chairman. By vote of the AIB membership, the following members were re-elected to the board: Kevin Schoen, General Mills Inc.; Fred Springer, Burford Corp.; and Campbell Williams, BCW Food Products Inc.
