Bühler Aeroglide has announced its 2018 drying seminar series. Participants can learn about moisture uniformity, dryer evaluation and airflow, and how to make adjustments for new revenue.

Most products are sold by weight, and water is the cheapest ingredient of every product. But the slightest moisture deviations can force a dryer to over dry, in order to maintain batch specifications. For consistent product moisture, all of a product must be exposed to the same airflow and temperature. By knowing how to evaluate a dryer’s performance, plant managers can effectively troubleshoot for batch consistency and optimize operations.

Drying Theory Put to Practice explores drying basics including parameters, balancing, evaluating, mechanical inspections and troubleshooting with a dryer simulation. It also teaches advanced drying concepts and measurement practices in a hands-on lab session, combined with advance calculation methods used for dryer sizing.
