LeMatic, a supplier of slicing, packaging and automated systems to the international baking industry, has expanded their geographic presence with the opening of their first Asia-Pacific office in Tokyo, Japan. The new office serves as a central sales and service hub for LeMatic’s growing base of customers in Asia-Pacific.
LeMatic gained the expertise of two industry veterans with over 50 years’ combined experience and knowledge of the region. Michihiko Tanaka will fill the role of director - Asia Pacific. The responsibility of providing Field Engineering expertise has been accepted by Shinji Iijima.
"This is an exciting time for LeMatic," says LeMatic president, Richard Kirkland. “We've been fortunate to have had increasing interest in our equipment across Asia in recent years. Now, with permanent resources dedicated to region, not only is LeMatic more competitive, we are able to reach a broader customer base on a much more personal level. Industrial, mid-size and small bakery operations in the Asia-Pacific theater can now expect faster and better support from LeMatic for sales, installation and service, whether it’s new equipment or after-market parts.”
