Spee-Dee expands management team
Fowler named director of mechanical engineering and Toro promoted to service manager
Spee-Dee Packaging Machinery has strengthened its engineering and customer service teams. Rebecca Fowler joined as director of mechanical engineering and Ian Toro was promoted to customer service manager. Both will report to Dave Navin, president and CEO.
Fowler will lead the company’s mechanical and application engineering across Spee-Dee’s entire product offering. Fowler was most recently a mechanical engineering manager with Avidity Science, LLC (formerly Edstrom Industries) where she managed all engineering activities, reduced response time and increased efficiencies in the Mechanical and Electrical divisions. Previously, she was engineering manager for The Comfort Company, and senior design engineer for Henning inc.
Toro has been with Spee-Dee since 2015, and will manage all service technicians, field service operations and customer support as Customer Service Manager. He was most recently a field service install and repair technician where he led customer installations, including repair and retrofit operations. Previously, Toro was a Mechanical and Electrical Assembler.
“We are excited to welcome Rebecca to Spee-Dee as her wealth of experience in engineering and design will help bring Spee-Dee’s filling solutions to a new level of excellence,” said Dave Navin, president and CEO. “We are also proud to strengthen our customer solution services now led by Ian, who has consistently made our customers a priority during his tenure at Spee-Dee and will continue to elevate the customer experience.”
