Amoye’s departure comes at a crucial moment in the cocoa industry, as chocolate makers like The Hershey Co. hike up retail prices in response to the rising costs of cocoa beans and dairy.
The plant, announced in October 2014, will be commercially operational next year and is set to meet the rising demand for biscuits in the Middle East and Africa for the next 20 years.
The landmark investment will leverage Kinh Do's manufacturing capabilities, comprehensive distribution network and some of the best Vietnamese talent in the industry.
