The Specialty Food Association has revealed the winners of its 50th Annual sofi Awards, a celebration of culinary excellence and creativity. 

The SFA’s Trendspotter Panel virtually assembled at three digital SFA shows to research thousands of specialty food and beverage products from around the world.

Available only to product-qualified members of the SFA, the sofi Awards resulted in nearly 1,500 products from around the world pouring into SFA's partner for the awards, the Food Innovation Center at Rutgers University.

The show has traditionally been the largest West Coast event focused solely on the specialty food industry.

The Specialty Food Association reports all food sales, both specialty and non-specialty, grew much faster between 2018 and 2020, a reflection of the COVID-19 pandemic's effect on buying, at-home meal preparation, and consumption.

Available only to product-qualified members of the SFA, the sofi Awards opened March 1 and resulted in nearly 1,500 products from around the world pouring into SFA’s partner for the awards, the Food Innovation Center at Rutgers University (FIC).

In a year of upheaval and unknowns, replicating restaurant and travel experience in the home kitchen; values-based shopping; and functional ingredients to support and maintain health top the list of 2021 trend predictions from the Specialty Food Association (SFA) Trendspotter Panel.  

The Specialty Food Association (SFA), the leading advocate for the $158.4 billion specialty food industry, today announced that the 46th annual Winter Fancy Food Show scheduled for January 17-19, 2021 at the Moscone Convention Center in San Francisco has officially been cancelled.
