IRI's Dan Sadler recently spoke to Candy Industry about projections for the 2022 Halloween season and what the research firm expects heading into the holidays.
With retailers turning away from bulk bins and office-goers not filling their candy dishes as often, hard candy sales have sagged throughout the COVID-19 pandemic.
The tracker also shows that when looking at year-to-date sales for 2021, the candy category has seen further growth of 9 percent, compared to the same period in 2020.
