The sale of Pearson's Candy Co. to Annabelle Candy closed last week, according to Spell Capital Partners, which has owned Pearson's since 2018.

The non-chocolate novelty category, as well as marshmallows and specialty nut and coconut candy, have experienced growth over the last year.

Minnesota-based Pearson Candy Co. has put a seasonal spin on the Salted Nut Roll, offering two limited-edition flavors.
