AFC releases sanitary Spiralfeeder
The flexible screw conveyor full access to the hopper interior, screw, and outer tube.

Process equipment manufacturer Automated Flexible Conveyor has released a sanitary version of its tiltable AFC Spiralfeeder flexible screw conveyor. Designed for food, dairy, and other sanitary applications with limited space, the system features stainless steel construction with continuous welds polished to a 32 Ra surface finish. The steel frame is coated with a USDA-compliant finish.
The enclosed auger screw transfers powders, pellets, and other dry bulk ingredients from an integrated hopper to discharge. The conveyor can be lowered at the press of a button for low-profile rolling to alternate locations.
Developed for fast changeovers, the portable system allows full access to the hopper interior, screw, and FDA- and USDA-approved outer tube for cleaning and inspection. Spiral screw types are available to suit free-flowing and non-free-flowing materials. Optional accessories include a material agitator, lump breaker, and dust cover.
The conveyor is manufactured at the company’s Clifton, NJ facility. Product testing is available in the on-site lab prior to delivery and installation.
