Miwe America opens baking demo center at NJ HQ
The equipment company’s new baking center lets customers test out tech and recipes.

Bakery equipment manufacturer Miwe America recently celebrated the grand opening of its Miwe live baking center. A focal point of the company's new, Middlesex, NJ headquarters, the live baking center is a fully operating demonstration bakery that enables bakers to test bake their baked goods, refine recipes, and try the latest equipment technologies on full-size baking equipment prior to purchase. By testing different types of ovens and automated solutions before installation, bakers reportedly ensure the equipment is optimized for their specific product lines, quality requirements, throughput targets, workflows, and other goals.
Modeled on the original Miwe live baking center in Arnstein, Germany, the Miwe America live baking center features the company’s econo convection oven, the FreshBakeCenter (FBC) Model in-store baking station, and the Miwe condo electrically heated steam deck oven, along with a range of auxiliary equipment. The latest advances (such as Miwe optitherm fine temperature control, Miwe flexbake automated quality control, Miwe automated cleaning system, Miwe SK-M steam condenser, and Miwe eco mode for energy savings are also on hand).
Additional production baking ovens, loading systems, proofer-retarders, and other refrigeration technologies are to be installed. Tests may be scheduled at MIWE.com.
