Drum-dried carrots from Van Drunen Farms add the nutrition and rich flavor of carrots to new and existing bakery products. Drum drying is achieved by drying pureed, raw ingredients at relatively low temperatures between two rotating high-capacity drums. This results in a continuous sheet of dried product that is then milled into a flake or powder format. The product easily reconstitutes and retains much of its flavor, color and nutritional value, and is an economical ingredient choice. They come in both conventional and organic forms.
