Krispy Kreme Doughnuts, Inc.,
Winston-Salem, N.C. — Daryl G. Brewster has been elected president and CEO. Previously, he served as president of Kraft’s $6 billion North America Snacks & Cereals Sector. Brewster also will serve on Krispy Kreme’s board of directors.
MCNA, LLC, Rockwall, Tex. — Cal Neugent, former president of Stewart Systems, has started MCNA, a company dedicated to bringing savings and precision to food manufacturers’ systems and equipment needs.
Poore Brothers, Goodyear, Ariz. — Eric J. Kufel has been appointed chief executive officer and director. Previously, Kufel had been president, CEO and director of the company, from February 1997 to August 2004 and chairman from August 2004 to February 2006.
In addition, Larry Polhill was named chairman after serving as a board member since August 2004. He also is chairman of American Pacific Financial Corp. and a manager of Capital Foods, LLC, a private investment company that is the largest shareholder of Poore Brothers.
Flowers Foods, Thomasville, Ga. — Kirk L. Tolbert has been promoted to vice president. He joined Flowers Foods in 1991 as an internal auditor, and, since 2003, has been serving as treasurer — a title he will continue to hold.
In addition, James D. Traikovich has been promoted to director of risk and insurance. He takes on the area of insurance and risk finance following the retirement of B. Scott Rich, vice president of insurance and administration.
7-Eleven Inc., Dallas, Texas Paul Rostron, executive vice president and chief people officer, has resigned. Replacing Rostron will be Don Thomas, who is currently vice president of Central Division operations. Thomas began his career at 7-Eleven in 1993 as assistant controller.
Derst Baking Co., Savannah, Ga. — Paul Frankum has been named president. Previously, Frankum served as president of Flowers Bakery in Crossville, Tenn., owned by Flower Foods, Inc.
MGP Ingredients, Atchison, Kan. — Robert “Rob” Pyatt has been hired as a financially analyst. Pyatt is a certified public accountant with more than 15 years of experience in the finance and accounting fields.
Kliklok-Woodman, Decatur, Ga.Rich Camps has been named strategic account manager — vertical form fill seal systems. Previously, Camps worked for Accupak and CMD, KW’s technology partner.
