Egan Food Technologies, a Grand Rapids, Mich.-based confectionery and baking process equipment manufacturer and service provider, has purchased certain assets of Food Process Automation (FPA), allowing it to expand its equipment offerings within the bakery industry, including service and parts for machinery previously sold by FPA.

“The acquisition opportunity was well-timed with our company’s growth and a natural fit with our current portfolio of equipment,” says Mike Sherd, managing partner for Egan Food Technologies. “Former FPA customers will experience Egan’s top-notch customer service for parts and service, and existing Egan customers will have additional equipment options in expanded categories.”

New product categories added to Egan Food Technologies’ portfolio include ovens, cooling tunnels, dough feed equipment, wirecuts, rotary moulders, laminating and sheeting equipment and other baking equipment. The company is immediately providing service and parts for machinery, with full equipment builds planned for the future.

Like all Egan Food Technologies’ machinery, these new offerings are built and serviced in the United States.
