Kilmer Van Nostrand Co. Ltd., a Toronto-based investment holding company, acquired English Bay Batter Inc., a British Columbia-based wholesale bakery company that produces premium gourmet cookies and frozen and refrigerated dough for in-store bakeries, grocery stores, restaurants and foodservice channels across North America.

“Over the course of the past 30 years, English Bay has created an outstanding portfolio of high quality bakery products ranging from cookies, to cookie dough, to crescent rolls and biscuits to pizza dough, pie crusts and muffins," says Anthony Sigel of Kilmer. “We look forward to working with a superb management team to continue to build English Bay into a much larger North American bakery business.”

“We are truly delighted to have KVN as our partner,” says David Foster, president of English Bay. “We look forward to working with the team at Kilmer to execute our strategic plan and continue to grow the business. All of our employees and customers will benefit from this new long term relationship.”

Kilmer will be joined on the board of English Bay by the company's founder, Jack Seguin, and by international food industry veteran, Martin Jamieson, former president of The Pillsbury Co. in Canada and the United Kingdom, and former head of Loblaw Brands.
