Equipment Snapshot: Modular Conveyor Express now offers center drives for its modular conveyor systems. Center drive conveyors allow customers to incorporate nosebar transfers at each end of the conveyor for smoother product transitions. They also free up space when interfacing with existing or new equipment, and can be configured to allow customers to use both tabletop chain and mat-style belt conveyors in reversing applications. Manufactured in both mild steel and stainless steel, center drives are available for use on all MCE standard conveyor widths, from 3.25 to 24 inches wide. Due to the design of the center drive system, it can also be retrofitted into existing conveyor systems, allowing customers to quickly reconfigure existing equipment with minimal cost.
