Enjoy Life Foods earns FODMAP Friendly Certification

Enjoy Life Foods has achieved FODMAP Friendly Certification for 19 of its allergy friendly and Certified Gluten Free products from the FODMAP Friendly Food Program, the largest registered certification trademark worldwide certifying FODMAP friendly packaged foods. Already a trusted source for millions of people with gluten and food allergy sensitivities and intolerances, Enjoy Life earned FODMAP Friendly Certification to provide those following a low-FODMAP diet with delicious and trigger-free foods for every eating occasion.

“Serving as a solution for people with food restrictions is in our DNA,” said Joel Warady, general manager and chief sales & marketing officer at Enjoy Life Foods. “We’ve been a trusted source for the gluten-free community since becoming the first Certified Gluten Free company in the U.S. back in 2005, and since studies have shown overlap in diagnosis for people with Celiac Disease and IBS, it was a natural progression for us to pursue FODMAP Friendly Certification for our products. This way millions of people battling digestive issues can easily identify foods that fit into their lifestyle.”

Research shows that people with gluten sensitivities and irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) may benefit from a low-FODMAP diet, which reduces certain types of sugars and short chain carbohydrates known as Fermentable Oligosaccharides, Disaccharides, Monosaccharides and Polyols. Some evidence indicates that reducing intake of FODMAPs provides relief to approximately 75 percent of individuals experiencing IBS-like symptoms, according to Gluten Intolerance Group.

Like all Enjoy Life products, its FODMAP Friendly Certified products are Certified Gluten Free, Non-GMO Project Verified and free-from 14 allergens, including wheat, peanuts, tree nuts, dairy, casein, soy, egg, sesame, sulfites, lupin, mustard, fish, shellfish and crustaceans. With plans to expand its offerings in the near future, Enjoy Life’s current FODMAP Friendly Certified products include:

  • Baking Chocolate – Semi-Sweet Mega Chunks, Semi-Sweet Mini Chips, Dark Chocolate Morsels
  • Grain & Seed Bars – Chocolate Marshmallow (28-gram and 50-gram bars), Banana Caramel (28-gram and 50-gram bars), Maple Sweet Potato (28-gram bars)
  • Protein Bites – Dark Raspberry, Dipped Banana, SunSeed Butter™, Cinnamon Spice
  • Mini Cookies – Soft Baked Snickerdoodle, Crunchy Vanilla Honey Graham, Crunchy Chocolate Chip, Crunchy Double Chocolate
  • Chewy Bars – Cocoa Loco
  • Chocolate Bars – Ricemilk, Dark

“We’re proud to have a trusted global food leader like Enjoy Life Foods touting the FODMAP Friendly Certified stamp of approval,” said Tim Mottin, co-founder and managing director at FODMAP Friendly Food Program. “We designed the seal to enable consumers with symptoms of IBS who are following a low-FODMAP diet to easily identify and select suitable packaged food products. Enjoy Life’s products meet our strict standards to ensure they are below the criteria threshold levels of FODMAPs so everyone, everywhere can shop and eat with confidence.”

Enjoy Life’s bright teal packaging makes it easy for shoppers to identify its foods on shelf in natural and conventional retailers nationwide.
