Savings-savvy Capistrano’s Bakery combined two small baking operations and renovated a larger, 38,000-sq.-ft. production facility in Phoenix that features a used, multizone, traveling-tray oven it had rebuilt with state-of-the-art features. 

Kilmer Van Nostrand Co. Ltd. buys the wholesale bakery company, which makes premium gourmet cookies and frozen and refrigerated dough.

Located in Morrow, GA, the new facility will serve as a distribution and packaging site for several major Pepperidge Farm brands.

Kevin McAdams, formerly vice president of direct-store delivery and sales execution, has been promoted to president of Schwan’s Consumer Brands Inc.
