Sara Lee Frozen Bakery has launched Cyrus O’Leary’s Cookie Dough Pybrid, a dessert that combines elements of cookies and pie. The product is designed for full-service foodservice operators seeking customizable dessert options.
The Cookie Dough Pybrid features a soft, fudgy center with crisp, cookie-like edges. It is pre-baked, pre-sliced, and can be heated in seconds. Operators can serve it as-is or use it as a base for seasonal toppings, regional ingredients, or housemade additions.
Examples of customization include caramel and crushed candies, à la mode presentations with sprinkles, or regional variations using cherries, walnuts, or other local ingredients.
According to Yelp’s 2025 State of the Restaurant Industry Report, consumer interest in small indulgences is increasing, with searches for “sweet treat” up 110%. Restaurant Business also reports continued demand for cookies, pastries, and similar items.
“Restaurants today are navigating labor shortages and budget constraints, but that doesn’t mean they have to sacrifice quality, creativity, or flavor,” says Ryan Morris, senior brand manager of foodservice at Sara Lee Frozen Bakery. “Cyrus O’Leary’s Cookie Dough Pybrid is a sweet menu solution that blends nostalgic cookie dough flavor with contemporary dessert trends, encouraging chefs to let their imaginations soar and create signature treats diners will come back for time and time again.”
