Danfoss acquires Palladio Compressors
The company's compressor portfolio and high-temperature capabilities will benefit.

Danfoss has expanded its compressor portfolio through the acquisition of Palladio Compressors, adding a new range of screw compressors designed for large-scale heating, cooling, and refrigeration systems. The move aligns with the company’s LEAP 2030 strategy and supports applications using natural and low-GWP refrigerants.
Over the past two years, Danfoss and Palladio evaluated synergies in high-lift heat pump technologies. The integration of Palladio’s screw compressors is expected to enhance Danfoss’ capabilities in high-temperature systems.
“The addition of Palladio Compressors broadens our technological capabilities and reinforces our commitment to decarbonization across industries,” says Fabio Klein, divisional president, Danfoss Commercial Compressors. “Palladio's advanced technology complements our portfolio, enhancing our compressor solutions for industrial heat pumps and large commercial and industrial refrigeration.”
The Palladio screw range addresses a gap in the market for advanced, non-captive screw compressors. The technology is suited for mid-range energy intensity applications, offering flexibility based on system size, energy demands, and payback requirements. The newly branded Danfoss Screw range will receive increased investment in R&D, production, and sales.
“Joining Danfoss is a transformative opportunity for Palladio Compressors,” says David Candio, CEO, Palladio Compressors. “Together, we can leverage our combined expertise to drive innovation and expand our global reach.”
Palladio Compressors will become part of the Danfoss Commercial Compressors division starting October 1, 2025. Danfoss plans to expand staffing, including R&D specialists, engineers, and technicians, to support growth and innovation.
