Planters Special Reserve peanuts make comeback
The seasonal snack returns for a limited time, starting on National Nut Day (Oct. 22).
Back for a limited time beginning on National Nut Day (Oct. 22), Planters Special Reserve peanuts return following their debut during the 2023 holiday season.
Grown on small acreage in VA, the extra-large, skin-on peanuts are roasted to deliver a balanced blend of salt, crunch, and creaminess. The product is packaged in 13 oz aluminum containers, and is available at select Albertsons stores and online at Amazon for a suggested retail price of $8.99.
“Planters Special Reserve has been years in the making,” says Kate Coombs, brand manager for the Planters brand. “From the growing conditions to the roasting process, every detail is curated with our consumers in mind. The reaction last year was overwhelming, and Special Reserve proved to be a top holiday gifting item, so we’re excited to bring it back.”
The seasonal release is positioned for holiday gifting and snacking occasions.
