TofuGo releases shelf-stable snack
The product's varieties include Soy BBQ and Spicy Chili.

TofuGo has debuted what it is dubbing the "world’s fastest tofu": a savory, shelf-stable tofu snack designed for people who want protein without sugar.
Inspired by dougan, a centuries-old tofu snack from Sichuan, China, TofuGo aims to transform one of the world’s oldest protein sources into a modern, grab-and-go format. Each pack delivers 12 g of plant-based protein, 0 g added sugar, and umami flavor, with varieties like Soy BBQ and Spicy Chili, making it closer to a savory snack than a protein bar, the brand notes.
Founded by Caroline Dai, TofuGo sits at the intersection of cultural food tradition and modern convenience, reframing tofu from a quiet cooking ingredient into an everyday protein. The brand is positioning tofu not as a niche health food, but as a functional, flavor-forward alternative to the sugar-heavy protein aisle, proof that protein doesn’t need to be sweet to be satisfying, it says.
