PopCorners adds better-for-you snack to its lineup
The popped line delivers 9 g of protein per serving in sweet and savory flavors.

PepsiCo's PopCorners brand has added a new option with a good source of protein to its snack lineup, it says. With 9 g of protein per 1-oz serving, PopCorners Protein aims to deliver flavor and an airy, crunchy texture while also helping consumers meet their daily protein goals, the brand adds.
With salty, savory, and sweet flavors available, PopCorners Protein offers snackers three options. Made with no artificial flavors or colors, and 140 calories per 1-oz serving, PopCorners Protein is available in three flavors:
- Hickory BBQ flavor: A smoky BBQ flavor that brings a tangy twist and crunch.
- Zesty Cheddar flavor: A kick of zesty cheddar flavor with a crunch.
- Cinnamon Delight flavor: A sweet cinnamon crunch flavor.
As 73% of Americans are intentionally consuming foods with protein on a daily basis, over half (54%) are looking to snacking occasions to prioritize protein intake, PopCorners notes.
Available starting next week in select retailers and markets, PopCorners Protein is made with:
- 9g of protein per one ounce serving with pea protein isolate, rice protein isolate and rice flour
- No artificial colors or flavors
- The popped, never-fried crunch consumers expect
- 140 calories or less per one ounce serving
PopCorners Protein will come in 5-oz bags and four-count multipacks, and will be available in select retailers at the end of May and rolling out nationwide in July.
