Wheat Foods Council Elects Officers
Dave Green of ADM Milling has been selected as the 2011-2012 chair of the Wheat Foods Council (WFC), a non-profit organization formed to increase awareness of grains, complex carbohydrates and fiber as essential components of a healthful diet.
Dave Green, director of quality control and laboratory services at ADM Milling Co., Decatur, Ill., is the 2011-2012 chair of the Wheat Foods Council (WFC), Ridgway, Colo.
"Dave has been a great asset to our board as vice chairman. His common sense, financial acumen and sense of humor will be important leadership assets as we move forward with an exciting new public relations plan focusing on the nutrition community," says Judi Adams, WFC president and contributing columnist for Snack Food & Wholesale Bakery.
Other officers are vice chair, Brent Robertson, Nebraska Wheat Board, formerly the WFC's treasurer/secretary and liaison to the Grain Foods Foundation marketing committee in 2010-2011; secretary/treasurer, Erica Olson of the North Dakota Wheat Commission, who began working with the North Dakota Wheat Commission in 2006 and joined the staff as marketing specialist; immediate past chair, David Moore of the Texas Wheat Producers Board. Moore is a native of Dumas, Texas, a commodity broker at Tejas Trading in Amarillo, Texas and a managing partner of Moore Farms.
