The Biscuit & Cracker Manufacturers Association, Washington — Frank Rooney announces his retirement as president of B&CMA, to take place in April at the association’s annual convention at The Breakers in Palm Beach, Fla. Rooney has been president of the B&CMA since 1979.
Derst Baking Co., Dublin, Ga. — Jason Greer has been promoted to sales supervisor. Greer will manage and maintain sales over four bread routes in the Dublin, Ga. area.
The Bachman Co., Reading, Pa. — Scott Carpenter has been appointed as president. He most recently served as president of the distribution division. Mark Miller has been promoted to vice president of operations. He will oversee production, customer service and logistics, purchasing and new product development. Kevin J. Brick joins The Bachman Co., Wyomissing, Pa., as vice president of sales and marketing.
Flowers Foods, Thomasville, Ga. — The board of directors of Flowers Foods elected Manuel “Manny” A. Fernandez, managing director of SI Ventures, to the company’s board of directors effective January 1, 2005.
Sonoco, Hartsville, South Carolina— Robert H. Coker has been named division vice president, sales and marketing, Rigid Paper and Plastics, North America.
