Equipment Snapshot: Linde North America Inc. says its patented CRYOLINE XF Cross-flow high-performance spiral freezer is built for relatively larger production capacities. The model uses a proprietary cross-flow technology that reduces freezing time and improves cryogen efficiency, while reducing overall freezer size. In addition, it provides twice the heat transfer rate of conventional spiral freezers by covering nearly 100 percent of the belt freezing surface area with a high-velocity, low-temperature gas flow. The CRYOLINE XF has a human-machine interface (HMI) and a simple, stainless steel design for reduced cleaning and maintenance downtime. An optional, built-in, self-cleaning, clean-in-place (CIP) belt washer system is available.
