Equipment Snapshot: The CEIA THS/RB-800 system from Heat and Control Inc. enables manufacturers to integrate a CEIA metal detector with any checkweigher or other in-line equipment. Only 31.5 inches long, the system includes a CEIA THS/SL21 series Slim-Line metal detector, round belt conveyor and operating controls, all preassembled on a sanitary support frame. An optional conveyor speed-sensing encoder is also available. The polyurethane cord conveyor is available in three widths and can be removed without tools. Belt speed and aperture height are adjustable to accommodate a wide range of products. The RB-800 system is available with different CEIA metal detectors, including models THS 21, 21E, 21E-3F and MS21. The latter features CEIA’s proprietary multispectrum technology, which eliminates product effect rejects without reducing detection sensitivity.
