Product Snapshot: The Scone Shop is kicking off the holiday season and expanding into the new year by unwrapping the next evolution of its packaging for their frozen ready-to-bake scones.

Featuring a photo of prepared scones, vibrant colors and nutritional information, the new package is an 8 ½” x 6 ½” moisture-proof, white gabled box with a fold-over envelope tab. The design enables the package to be displayed upright or on its back for greater visibility on freezer shelves at retail locations and at home. The new box style also has the feel of a gift box, is easier to ship and enables a streamlined packaging process over the original design that featured a clear bag with hand-applied labels and a hand-tied bow.

The packaging, which will begin rolling out in retail stores in December, was designed locally by Brandon Scharr with imagery by Rusty Williams Photography.

All of The Scone Shop’s scones are handmade frozen scone dough using original recipes with simple ingredients such as rolled oats, flour, eggs, milk and butter. Each sweet flavored package makes eight medium-sized scones while the savory flavor makes 12 smaller scones, which can be baked one at a time or the whole batch at once. Scone flavors include: Cinnamon Chip, Cranberry Orange, Butterscotch Chocolate Chip, Chocolate Cinnachip and Spinach Feta. Its scones are available at retail locations spanning Charlotte, Davidson, Durham, Greensboro, Raleigh, Winston-Salem and Columbia, S.C.
