SOMIC America continues to grow service tech support staff with newest hire
In the midst of a record-breaking period for packaging machine installations in North America, Somic America is in the process of building a superior customer support department that ranks second to none. The recent addition of service technician Felix Perez makes a talented group even stronger.
“It is a very busy period for us and Felix is a welcome addition to our team,” said Peter Fox, senior VP of sales. “He joins a group of people who have established mechanical backgrounds. Felix’s strengths are that he’s worked with packaging equipment before. He understands the complexities of today’s machines and is very good at installing and maintaining them. I’m sure our customers will be glad to tap his expertise.”
Perez is a U.S. Navy veteran with eight years of experience. He has served as a field service engineer with packaging companies in the Chicago area, and responsible for the installation of primary and secondary machines used for food and beverage, personal care, pharmaceutical and other packaging applications. In addition to testing and modifying machines to customer specifications, he has trained operators on routine maintenance procedures and provided troubleshooting on maintenance issues for secondary packaging equipment.
