Product Snapshot: A new Mystery OREO starts hitting shelves nationwide on Monday, Sept. 16 and the brand is calling on detectives everywhere to help crack the case! The subject in question is a classic black and white OREO cookie containing a delicious, mysterious flavor for fans to try. Ready your mind and prepare your taste buds because the Mystery OREO could be anything, from a combination of two current OREO flavors to an entirely new flavor.

To kick off the investigation, OREO is recruiting some of the most famous, playful TV detectives to help solve the Mystery OREO challenge. Since Gaten Matarazzo is no stranger to a mystery, OREO tapped his skills to attempt to solve the flavor first. Through November 10, 2019, super-sleuths everywhere can try their hand at solving the Mystery OREO challenge by reporting to MysteryOREO.com and submitting their flavor guess for a chance to win $50,000.* The best mysteries have multiple twists, so fans can submit a new flavor every day. Every correct guess is counted as an official entry to the sweepstakes, with one randomly chosen grand prizewinner receiving $50,000. For even more chances to win, fans can share their guess on Facebook and Twitter and challenge their followers to join in the fun – earning a bonus entry for every friend who registers a guess.

Clues are the key to solving any good mystery, so OREO will be dropping plenty of helpful hints along the way. OREO is releasing three Mystery OREO packs with a different clue on each, and every week, OREO will reveal a new clue as a part of the #MysteryMonday series on OREO’s Facebook page and MysteryOREO.com.

But that’s not all! The release of the Mystery OREO cookie flavor marks the first time OREO fans can go to their Alexa device to find out about the latest flavors and innovations from the brand. Starting September 16, without needing to download a specific skill, users can ask, “Alexa, what’s new with OREO?” to hear up-to-date news from OREO, kicking off with Mystery OREO and with many more announcements to come in the future. As an added bonus in conjunction with the Mystery program, users will also be able to ask and receive flavor clues via Alexa, beginning on 9/16.
