At the ABA’s recent 2026 Convention, Eric Dell and Brian LeComte shared their perspectives on issues facing the field, as well as the resilience of bakers.

All award recipients were recognized onstage during a dedicated ceremony and invited to an Awardee Reception at the org's Convention on April 22.  

The bakery industry org elected its 2026-28 executive committee and board of directors during its Annual Member Meeting at Convention.

The awards, given during the ABA 2026 convention, are given out to companies that make a difference in three categories: Community, Workplace, and Planet.

The newly formed group merges the association’s former Commodity and Agricultural Policy Professionals Group and Logistics Professionals Group.

The association is aiming to further position itself to ensure an impactful and high-level experience for its membership, it says.

As the 19th U.S. Trade Representative and a member of former President Biden’s cabinet, she served as the principal advisor, negotiator, and spokesperson on U.S. trade policy.

This year’s programming has been engineered to deliver impactful content that helps build leadership skills, and strengthen the industry as a whole.

The American Bakers Association, Retail Bakers of America, and Baking Association of Canada have announced an agreement to work together.

Scheduled April 19-23 in Colorado Springs, the group’s yearly event comes at an especially challenging time for bakery professionals.
