Guittard Chocolate Co. has introduced Mindful Choices chocolate, a new line designed to unite the artistry of chocolate with evolving dietary awareness.
Consumers are actively looking to change their diets by reducing their sugar intake and live healthier lifestyles, but there are many challenges to achieving sugar reduction.
When it comes to creating the perfect sweetener it's hard to compete with the taste of nature's sugar — but that hasn’t stopped ingredient companies from trying to find alternatives with fewer calories.
German startup Savanna Ingredients has begun producing initial quantities of allulose with the goal of producing the virtually calorie-free sugar on a larger scale.
