Mettler Toledo to showcase inspection tech at Pack Expo
The company will highlight its X-ray, metal detection, vision, and checkweighing systems.

Mettler Toledo Product Inspection Group will present a wide range of product inspection technologies at Pack Expo Las Vegas, taking place September 29–October 1, 2025. Located at booth W-2122, the company will highlight X-ray, metal detection, vision, and checkweighing systems designed to enhance product safety, improve quality, and increase operational efficiency for the food industry.
“Manufacturers are facing a perfect storm of rising consumer expectations, stricter safety mandates, and mounting pressure to avoid damaging recalls,” says Tom Koshy, national sales director at Mettler Toledo Product Inspection. “Our technology helps customers reach their production goals while giving them the confidence that every product leaving their facility meets their quality standards. Plus, with integrated Industry 4.0 connectivity, manufacturers gain real-time monitoring and data collection for stronger compliance and continuous improvement.”
A new X-ray inspection system for bulk flow applications will debut at the show. Designed to detect contaminants such as glass, stone, bone, and high-density plastics, and rubber, the system inspects product early in the process to reduce waste and protect downstream equipment.
Other X-ray systems on display include:
- X16: Entry-level solution for medium to large products
- X32: Advanced sensitivity for small and medium packages
- X36 DXD+: Detects hard-to-find contaminants like calcified bone in overlapping products
- X52: Dual-energy system offering high-end detection at a competitive price
Combination systems will also be featured, including:
- CM: Checkweigher and metal detector
- CV35: Checkweigher and vision system
- CX33: Checkweigher and X-ray system
Mettler Toledo’s modular portfolio allows customers to pair any checkweigher with any X-ray model, offering flexibility across budgets and configurations—including all-in-one systems combining checkweighing, vision, X-ray, and metal detection.
Vision inspection systems on display include:
- V31: Integrated print inspection for label verification
- V35: High-speed inspection of round containers
- V57: Contamination and formation inspection for rigid plastic containers
Metal detection systems on exhibit include:
- M31: Shown on the SL1000 conveyor for small and medium packages
- Profile Advantage: Integrated with conveyor for meat and protein applications
- Gravity Flow metal detector with ATS
- Profile Advantage pipeline system
- Tablex-PRO with CroPharm deduster
Also featured is the C35 washdown checkweigher, designed for harsh environments. With full IP69 rating, it supports high-pressure cleaning with caustic detergents while delivering high-precision weighing at fast speeds.
Most systems will be connected to Mettler Toledo’s ProdX software, enabling remote monitoring and data collection to support compliance and continuous improvement.
